Wireless Video Security Camera
The number of security cameras placed in public buildings, shopping centers, banks and even private homes is fast increasing. With the recent technological developments in the surveillance field, looking over your property and ensuring your safety is now easier than ever.
Security cameras are used for a wide variety of reasons. Property surveillance is just one of them. People use cameras to watch over their kids when they're away, monitor the activity of their employees or home care workers and even spy on someone.
The advantages of a wireless video security camera
There are many models of security cameras available on the market today. For those of you who hate wires, a wireless video security camera is a good option. The setup is simpler and you will get rid of all the hassle with the countless wires you have to hide.
The places where you can set up a wired security camera are limited. You have to consider being close to the viewing and recording device and to a power source. If you want to place the camera outside, this often means having to break through a wall or window. Not mentioning all the trouble you have to go through if you want to move it. In contrast, a wireless video security camera can be placed anywhere and moved anytime you feel like it.
A wireless video security camera is also easier to use for spying. With a wired mini camera, you have to find a way to hide all the wires. A wireless video security camera that is small enough can be easily hidden anywhere.
Types of wireless video security cameras
There are two basic types of wireless video security cameras: some that come with an installation kit and others similar to an IP camera.
The first type of wireless video security camera is part of a package that also includes a transmitter and a receiver. This type of camera works like a regular TV camera, but the transmitter and receiver replace the TV cable. The camera connects to the transmitter, while the receiver connects to the recording/viewing device (e.g. television, PC, VCR).
The second type of wireless video security cameras is very similar to an IP camera. They have a wireless network adapter that can be connected to a router or switch. This type of cameras is easier to use. In addition, they also have the advantage that they can be accessed from any computer in the world. However, they are also more expensive.
A wireless video security camera is more practical than a wired one. It can be set up easily anywhere you want and you can move it around in case your needs change. It's also more aesthetic, without all the wires sometimes difficult to hide and it can be used more extensively.
